Folks told me I couldn't
and I shouldn't even try.
Well, I proved them all wrong.
I can reach the sky.
Have you ever tried to do something people told you couldn't be done? Maybe it was perfect attendance, winning a spelling bee or getting 100 on a test. Even if you don't reach your goal, you're still further along than if you hadn't tried. If Edison had believed that first NO, we wouldn't have electricity. It authors and poets took the first , second, or third NO, we wouldn't have a lot of great books to read. Can you write a poem about something you struggled to do? How did you feel when you achieved your goal or are you still working on it? Write a poem today and have fun working on your goals.
If you don't believe in yourself, who will?
Welcome
This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.
