Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

WHO MOVED THE RUBBERTREE

I say, "I can."
You say, "I can't."
I'll keep trying
because I'm an __ __ __.

I had fun writing another riddle poem.  I hope you had fun writing too.
Can you write a poem for an insect today?  Have fun writing.

I rub my legs and make a noise,
kept in a cage by Chinese boys.
My music they say brings luck and cheer.
Some use me to tell the temperature.
As a favorite insect many pick it.
Hear me chirp, I am a __ __ __ __ __ __ __.

The Poetry Friday Roundup is hosted this week over at Arthor Amok.  Thanks for hosting us.
