My friends come in many sizes
and every shape and hue.
I do not judge them by how they look
but by the things they do.
Who is your best friend? What does he/she look like? What things does this person do to let you know they are your friend? What do you and your friend do together? Can you write a poem about this? Have fun writing.
I love this, Joy, and the drawing too! Such a happy poem!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. I like happy poems, don't you. But then, I think every child should be guaranteed a happy childhood. Your grandgirls are so lucky to have you to help make their days happy.
DeleteJoy,
ReplyDeleteAnother good one to pass on to some educator friends.
Thanks Linda.
DeleteVery nice, Joy! I can imagine this poem in a fantasy book where a child meets creatures from outer space, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh wouldn't that be fun. I'll have to think about your suggestion. It might make a fun collection. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
