A tisket, a tasket,
a poem fell
from my basket.
The one I wanted
to post today
and now it's floated
far away.
If you had an imaginary basket, what would you put in it, or what would you find in it? Oh, I can see a story starting about a magic basket. Can you write a poem about your basket today? Have fun thinking about magic baskets. Happy Saturday.
Children's poetry puts magic in our lives.
This reminds me how important it is to jot those poems down as soon as they pop into our heads. Cute poem.
ReplyDeleteOh, it really is important to write those ideas down. I have a special notepad by the side of my bed. When I pick up the pen that came with it to write, a little light comes on. Alas, sometimes in the morning, I'm not sure what my scribbles and shorthand mean.
DeleteJoy,
ReplyDeleteSweet memories when I hear "A tisket, a tasket..." Thanks!
Exactly, Linda. I was thinking of the children's game, Drop the Handkerchief. I don't think kids play this one much anymore. A lot of kids don't know what a handkerchief is--they've been raised on Kleenex. I think kids play Duck, Duck, Goose instead.
