Welcome
This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

haiku
quiet creature visits
perhaps it's a wasp
need Hawaiian insect guide
Isn't this wasp beautiful? The yellow color is wonderful. The wings are actually lacy clear. But, I have no idea what kind of bug it is and I'm going to have to do some research. Isn't that part of the fun of moving to a new place? You get to see all sorts of new flora and fauna.
Can you spend some time observing nature today to write your own haiku? Have fun writing.

ReplyDeleteI've got the flower and bird books for Hawaii, now I have to see if I can find an insect one. Wonder if I need a rock and shell book? I'll keep you posted.
DeleteSo happy to read a poem from Hawaii, Joy. Merry Christmas! Or - Mele Kalikimaka!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I loved your Christmas poem I read on Jone Mac's blog and seeing Robyn Hood Black's etsy art was great. You are a blessing to poets everywhere.
