haiku

Eating corn candy
orange and yellow leaves fall
sweetness of autumn

I'm still doing haiku.  I'm not sure if I should switch the first and third lines on this one, what do you think? Does this one work?   Now it's your turn, today can you write a poem about the candy you're hoping to get for Halloween?  Have fun writing.

  1. Joy,
I like the order but I always say candy corn, not corn candy. Is it just me?

  3. Ah, Linda,
I actually considered the word order for candy corn, corn candy. I wanted that short second of the corn image before it slips to candy.
But it would be interesting to see if candy corn is a universal or if the choice of the words is regional. I'll have to ask around.
