This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

Riddle Poem
We have a head, but we do not think. You wash us off in the kitchen sink. You search the frig when you want to get us, Leafy and green, have you guessed we're the lettuce?
Can you write your own riddle poem today? Have fun writing.
Love it Joy. I'm crazy about riddles. Here's one I wrote for the challenge: I chirp, chirp, chirp But have no beak, I fiddle at night, For my own delight. What am I? Cricket.
This is wonderful! I had fun and figured it out before I read the last line. What a great way to engage kids in poetry!
ReplyDeleteYes, children do have fun writing riddle poems.
DeleteCUTE!!! I love these types of poems. I may have to do my own and tag your blog. :)
