Riddle Poem

We have a head,
but we do not think.
You wash us off
in the kitchen sink.
You search the frig
when you want to get us,
Leafy and green,
have you guessed
we're the lettuce?

Can you write your own riddle poem today?  Have fun writing.

  1. This is wonderful! I had fun and figured it out before I read the last line. What a great way to engage kids in poetry!

    1. Yes, children do have fun writing riddle poems.

  2. CUTE!!! I love these types of poems. I may have to do my own and tag your blog. :)

  3. Love it Joy. I'm crazy about riddles. Here's one I wrote for the challenge:
    I chirp, chirp, chirp
    But have no beak,
    I fiddle at night,
    For my own delight.
    What am I?

    1. What fun, Linda. thanks for sharing your poem.
