This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

My nose is dripping.
It's turning shining red.
I cannot get the drip to stop.
I think today
I'll stay
in bed.

I had a busy weekend, and I'm paying for it today.  My nose is running and I'm really having to push myself to get some work done.  I'm moving very slowly today.  What is the slowest moving creature that you know about?  Can you write a poems about it today?  Have fun writing.

  1. This is a perfect poem, and I guess perfect for you, too, though sad too. Get well fast! I'll miss you next week!

    1. Ah, thanks Linda, but no poem is perfect.

  2. Awww. Sorry you aren't feeling well, but a day in bed can do wonders. Feel better soon. Nice poem.

    1. hanks, Rosi. I think what I got was an airplane cold. At least my nose has stopped dripping.
