THE ARROW

Little Blue Arrow
long and narrow.
"Look at him fly,"
said a sparrow.
"He's flying over
that wheel barrow."
He is flying
way up high.
Can you see him
as he shoots by?

Little Arrow is flying off on an adventure.  Where do you think he'll go?  What sights might he see?  Can you write an adventure poem today?  Have fun writing.

  1. The arrow searches for a soft landing--not a tree. He spots a bale of hay. Bulls eye!

    1. Good thought. But Little Blue Arrow is looking for adventure.
      He'll fly with geese,
      hear a trumpeting swan
      fly over the seas
      watch trout spawn.
      See the farmers
      haying below
      before that bail
through he'll go. (Awful reversal, I know but this is written on the fly.)

      He loves to travel,
      loves to fly
      before he lands
      in that bulls eye.

    2. You're right to let him have more adventure. I get it!
