Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

HOT TIME

Rinky-dinky doo
the animals at the zoo
are eating popsicles
and a snow cone.
Trying to stay cool
and they're not alone.

  1. Who else is eating snow cones and popsicles to stay cool? Could it be you? I love the "rinky-dinky doo" line. Fun!

    1. Joan, dear. I do luv ya too. Thanks for sharing your summer beach pictures. I need a break and your pictures helped me.
The recipes for the zoo popsicles are really interesting. Our zoo is constantly trying to think of ways to keep life interesting and entertaining for the animals--too bad they can't read poetry. I could teach them to write poems and have a whole new market.

    2. I love the way you think! Zoo animals as your audience! You could probably make it work!
