Late at Night

It's late at night

and I'm in bed.

Should be asleep

but I'm reading instead.

I'm under the covers

with my flashlight and book.

I hope Mom and Dad 

don't come to look.

I'll soon be done

and all will be fine

but to finish this story

needs a little more time.
