This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

I sat upon the pillow,
and the pillow sang
      PLOP, PLOFF.

Then tiny, little feathers
started drifting off.

I'd say I couldn't help it,
and it caused me such delight
that I had to use those feathers
to start a pillow fight.

Pillow fights are fun.  Have you ever had one?  Instead of starting a fight, how about doing the safe thing and writing a poem about it today?

  1. HI Joy,
Have you ever read Mr. Peabody's Apples which is retold by Madonna? It is a good story about feathers in pillows.
