My Dog's Poems

My dog is sleeping with poetry,
He dreams of the poem's beat.
He's chasing a rabbit, a bird, a deer.
You can tell by his moving feet.

The poems with animals are
the ones he likes the best.
His dreams are of poetry
each time he takes a rest.



     Name an animal or an object.  Now what kind of poetry would it like to hear?  What kind of poems would a carrot want? How about a rock?  Can you write a poem about that today.
