Everyone will relate to this poem, Joy - you captured the feeling so well!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robyn.
ReplyDeleteIt was my art work I was most pleased with. It isn't great, but I loved the way the pastels helped give me a picture that showed what I wanted.
Dear Joy,
ReplyDeleteI love your picture to accompany your poem and how you have the word deep going lower on the page. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Joy,
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Wonder why nightmares make us fall?
Last night it was late and I couldn't sleep, but it was because I had a piece of chocolate cake for dessert after dinner. No fair that something so good robs my sleep!!

DeleteOh, I've had that happen too. Sorry for your loss of sleep, but I hope you got some good writing done. Was there an occasion you were celebrating? Sure wish I'd been there to help you eat that chocolate cake. It is my favorite. Maybe there needs to be a chocolate poetry day. I bet Jama knows lots of chocolate poems and we could write our own.
I LOVE chocolate
indeed I do
if you come to visit
I'll share mine with you.
Joy - I think that our little swimmers are playing in the water together this week. Yours is adorable!! I love this dream writing idea too. I think I'll take it on soon, thinking about you. My apologies for the late comment - I had to travel unexpectedly. Happy poetry week! a.
ReplyDeleteAmy,
ReplyDeleteNow you know why I consider you a poetry sister. You are inspiring.
I hope your friend's daughter is better. Do you have special plans for July 4?
A great poetry starter! I'll have to give it a go. Your artwork is beautiful and inviting-- love how the water melds with the night sky.
