Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

GIGGLE

A giggle
is a
wiggle
that starts
in
your
tummy.

Your challenge for today is to write a poem about something that makes you giggle.  Or write about having a fit of the giggles.  I can remember my sister and I staring at the door to try to keep from giggling.  The moment we'd stop and turn to each other the giggles would start again.  Have you ever giggled so hard that you wet your pants?  Oh, just write the poem.  Have fun.

  1. What a fun poem. Thanks for sharing. This reminded me of Bill Cosby and the old Jello commercials.

  2. Hi Joy!
I love this poem. I don't giggle much these days, unless I'm around a baby. Their giggles are infectious!
    Hope you are doing well.
    Best,
    Tricia
