Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

MAGIC FEATHER

I have a magic feather for you,
make a wish, and your wish,
will come true.

Hold the feather,
you must believe,
then magical wisdom
you'll receive.

If you owned a magical feather, what would you wish for?  Can you write a poem about that today?  Have fun writing.

  1. This is very sweet. There is something magical about our feathered friends. I see I missed yesterday's post somehow. Feathers as subjects for two very different poems. Nicely done.

  2. Lovely, Joy! When our boys skin their knees, we always look for a "power stick" - any short stick with no bark. Then we move it in circles over the wound to make it feel better, then give the stick to the kids to self-administer as needed. It actually works! Now I wonder what they would do with a magic feather...
