Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

After the Rain

Happy Sunday morning.  It looks like it is going to be a wonderful day--bright and sunny and with time for a little writing.  At the workshop yesterday I wrote two fiction pieces that I immediately started turning the material into poems.  Oh, the problems of being a poet and seeing everything as much better as a poem.
I hope you have a great day.  Happy writing.
