Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

A brown donkey
in the field today
eats the grass
and munches the hay.
If he's ignored
he will bray.
Listen and you'll hear
him say,
hee-haw, hee-haw.

This picture is another one I took on my recent trip to North Carolina.  Can you draw a picture, take a photo of your own or find a picture in a magazine to write a poem to go with it?  Have fun.

  2. Joy,
Sometimes we bray too if we're ignored. It may sound sound different.

  3. Dear Joy,
To a Donkey, a bray sounds really soothing.May all of the sounds you hear today be soothing to your body, mind, and spirit.
