SWEET

With each swing

of the bat

the rope pulls

the piñata sways

swish

       swish

              THWACK

Now, all I have to do is cross my fingers, say a few magical words and hope that the formatting that I see on this poem holds for you.  But, I know if you are reading this on your cell phone it is going to look wacky.  Such is the story of my life.  I know what I want but getting technology to cooperate with me is often difficult.

So, if it doesn't look right, try this:

With each swing of the bat
the rope pulls
the pinata sways
swish, swish, THWACK,
sweets fall into my hand.

Yes, this may be easier to read, but it doesn't capture the fun of the candy dropping down into waiting hands.  So, I'd better work on that illustration, quick.

Have a great Monday.  Can you write your own poem about candy today?  Have fun.

  1. Joy,
What a clever way to show that it's raining candy. It showed up well on my screen. An illustration would make it even more fun!
