Haiku

hungry seagulls skim
over the back of the boat
searching for hand-outs

Why is it when I'm in a rush, I frequently turn to haiku?  Can you write your own short poem today about rushing?  Have fun.

  1. Joy,
I like the use of skim and hand-outs. Maybe this was a rushed poem, but I'd never have guessed it. well done!

    1. Thanks Linda, I was trying to get the double meaning of having hands out and receiving hand-outs in this haiku, but I wasn't successful. Maybe next time. That is the beauty of haiku, there is always a revision and always another way to approach a topic.
