SATURDAY CHORES

Today I'll change my sheets
and tidy up my room.
I'll put my toys away
and get the job done--zoom.

 I'll straighten all my books
and put clean clothes away.
I'll do all my chores,
It's Saturday, cleaning day.

    I'm so glad it's Saturday
    it's time to paint, it's time play
    My blues and greens collide and splat
    I paint a wall, a cat, a hat
    before I finish all of that
    My mama yells, "Get in here, stat!"
    It was my paint-and-playing day...
    but now it's chore-filled Saturday :(

    You amaze me. How many poems have you written in your lifetime? Every day for how many years, now? I am working toward being that disciplined... but you rock. :)
