Starlight

Stars sing
to me
twinkle,
glint, twink,
wink,
shine bright
sing sweet
smile, I want
to swing
in bare feet
and to sing too.

This little poem uses a lot of assonance.  Look at how many times you can find the word "in" in this poem.
So here is a wild challenge for today's poem.  Can you write a poem in 12 lines or less using the word "out" hidden your poem as many times as possible?  Oh this should be fun.  I'm already thinking about the things I can write.

  2. Joy,
I'm working on a PB manuscript that includes a character who daydreams of swinging from a star. I just sent it to my writer's group. This was not in the last version. How about that? We must have been on the same wave length.

  3. It happens a lot, doesn't it, Linda?
Pam Conrad used to say all the words and stories were out in the cosmos just waiting for us to put in our BIC time to write them down.
Good Luck with your PB ms.
