haiku

distant horizon
east all a chilly desert
golden sun peeks

golden sun peeks
over a chilly desert
distant horizons

I've been playing with haiku again this morning.  It was still dark when I got up today and by the time I was ready for my morning walk, the sun was just starting to peek over the horizon in the east.  Which haiku do you like better, the first or the second?  Can you take one of your own haiku today and play with rearranging the lines. Or totally rewrite the first or last line.  Have fun moving the lines around.

  1. This is a fun idea. I will have to play with some of my poems. I imagine you could do this with many forms besides haiku.

  2. They are both beautiful, Joy! I think my favorite is the second one, though!
