GOOD BYE

Renee, Renee
what should you say
when you see a friend
walking away?

Well, of course
you'd say, Good Bye
for your good friend
you might even cry.

Can you try writing a Good Bye poem today?  How do you tell someone you are going to miss them?

  1. Hi Joy,
Great exercise to practice showing your emotions. Your poetry is great for kids, teachers, and parents.

    1. Linda,
thanks for the workshop idea. This would be a fun one to try with a classroom of kids. I have done a writing exercise where I worked with kids writing poems that included their names, but this adds an extra dimension that would be really fun and would include some socialization skills for the kids.
      Great idea.

  2. What joy is there, when saying goodbye?
Joy's postcard will come in the mail, with a "Hi!"

Just got yours, Joy...thanks! I've been planning on sending you one, but I need to write it, first!

    1. Thanks for the rhyme, Matt.
You just sent me an electronic postcard with a poem and that means a lot to me.
      Thank you.
Oh, I put a book in the mail to you, I hope you have fun learning about the Olipou. (Hope I spelled that right, my spellcheck thinks it should be lollipop, which sounds like another poem to me.)

    2. Thank you, Joy! I'll look forward to seeing it. Those are some pretty complicated rules they have - I still haven't decided how to write one!
