Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

FLYING PIZZA

Pizzas are flying
in the sky.
Some soar low.
Some sail high.
Do be careful
as you race by
or else you'll get
pizza sauce
in your eye.

I'm still being silly.  Everyone needs to write a pizza poem at some point.  While you are waiting for your order is a great time.  Why not try writing a pizza poem today?  It is OK to be silly.  What would you have if a pizza wanted to be a cowboy?  Have you ever eaten frog pizza?  (The frogs don't like it either.)  Have fun, and please share your creations.
