Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

PAIN

When I shut
the car door
I caught my fingers
and started to roar.

Mom ran
and got the ice
but the blue on my fingers
doesn't look nice.

Now I hardly
feel the pain
I surely won't
do that again.

Do you remember a time when you were in pain?  Can you write a poem about that today?

  1. Ouch! That stings! Glad Mom came to your rescue.

I went over to the linked site where your poem was posted about fish. Now you have wondering what fish know that live in the ocean and fresh water streams and ponds. Hmmmm.

    1. Good questions, Linda. And what do fish do on Friday for entertainment? Do they write poems about the ocean?
