HALLOWEEN NIGHT

Leaves fly
Dark sky
Limbs bend
Screaming wind
Lightning flash
Thunder crash
Scary
Halloween night.

  1. Joy,
I liked the rhyming pattern of the poem. It moved fast, like me running to hide under my covers.

    1. Linda,
This was one of those happy accidents that happen. I started writing in free verse describing the wind outside that was pretty fierce, and as I took my paring knife to the words, I saw that it would easily fall into a rhyming pattern, so I went for it. Thanks for your comment.
