Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

More Ice Cream

JOYOUS ICE CREAM

My father drives an ice cream cart
he pedals through the street.
He sings out loud, “Cold ice cream bars,”
to everyone he meets.

I know how I can help him
as he pedals past the cars,
I’ll hand out paper napkins
for those drippy ice cream bars.

  1. Hi Joy,

Happy memories. Yummy treats! Great relief on hot days. Nice of the child to help.
