Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

Haunted House

Witches, goblins and ghosts
live in the haunted house
at the end of my street.
I'm going to knock on their door
and ask for a trick-or-treat.
I hope they have something good,
to give me a yummy sweet.

  1. You really do get into the Halloween spirit, don't you, Joy? I am enjoying all of these cute poems.

  2. Thanks, Rosi.
Once I set the goal to try to write Halloween related poems all month, it made for a fun challenge. I'm glad you're enjoying these.
I live half a mile off the main road, so we never get trick-or-treaters. So maybe that is why I have a craving for poems about this holiday.
