I like it when my mouth feels clean,
a sparkling smile and teeth that gleam.
Brushing my teeth is not a waste,
especially since I like the taste
of my whitening tooth paste.
The bristles brush down from the top
then to the bottom my tooth brush drops.
Up and up the bristles go
cleaning teeth the way they grow.
I have a smile, clean and bright.
Now off to bed, I'll say good night. For fun today try writing a poem,an ode in praise of your toothbrush, or your dentist. Have fun writing.
Joy, I like the way your narrator thinks tooth brushing is not a waste, since she likes the taste of the paste. Very kid-friendly:>)
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Have you ever tried the bubblegum flavored tooth pastes? It makes brushing your teeth so much fun.
I appreciate your kind words.
Yuck! Bubble gum toothpaste does not even sound good to me! But the poem was lots of fun.
DeleteDoraine,
DeleteI always pick the bubblegum flavor of fluoride gel when I go to the dentist too.
I bet you don't collect baseball cards either. That's how I got hooked on the bubblegum. That and doublishous double-bubble with the comic papers and a fortune.
Thanks for stopping by.
